Lady Musgrave Island is a true coral cay of 14 hectares that rests on the edge of a coral lagoon measuring 8km in circumference. It is the second southern most coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef. Lady Musgrave Island is a major rookery for migratory sea birds and turtles.  There are reputedly over 200 different species of soft and hard coral and 1200 species of fish. During the winter months humpback whales can also been seen while cruising to the Island.
